Sundays in July: The Four Agreements
Join us for Sunday services at 11 a.m. as Rev. Elizabeth Barca explores concepts in the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
July 14 — The Second Agreement: “Don’t Take Anything Personally”
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the reactions and opinions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
July 21 — The Third Agreement: “Don’t Make Assumptions”
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
July 28 — The Fourth Agreement: “Do Your Best”
Your best is going to change from moment to moment, it will be different when you are well as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
Healing Circle, every first Friday of the month, 7-8:30 p.m. Schedule might be subject to change, so please call 973-331-1776 before attending.
Reiki 1 Class (four sessions) – beginning Friday, June 21, 6:30-9 p.m. Facilitator: Marilyn Ocasio Forward, RMT. Reiki is an ancient Japanese system of natural healing and self-improvement.
Complete Schedule: June 21 and 28, July 12 and 19.
Hello Friend, and Welcome
Unity Center is an idea that has served many people since its beginning in 1998, and it is here that we meet each Sunday at 11 a.m…. with singing and music and meditation and a message that affirms the self-worth of each person as unique and wonderful, and made in the image and likeness of God.
Our sanctuary is on the second floor of the historic VFW Building in Boonton, and first-time visitors are always surprised to discover a light-filled lovely space that is very welcoming, just like our people.
We call our service a time of “creative worth-ship” a term coined by Eric Butterworth… a personal growth experience leading to self-realization and self-worth…
Through prayer and spiritual education, we support people in realizing and expressing their divine potential for healthy, prosperous and fulfilling lives.
